Hollow Knight: Silksong announced, play ARMA III for free this weekend, and Jade is the latest character to be revealed for Mortal Kombat 11.
A nice cherry on top of a really good sundae
Hard work can yield great results which holds true for Team Cherry with their first title, Hollow Knight. After the PC release, work on the Switch port and DLC was next. Their next endeavor? Team Cherry has announced a sequel titled Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Starring Hornet, her adventure was originally set as a piece of DLC in a new land. But Team Cherry described it saying “ it quickly became too large and too unique to stay a DLC, as initially planned”. That does not appear to be a bad thing as fans of the original game would surely welcome more Hollow Knight.
The good news does not end there. You may or may not know that Hollow Knight originally started on Kickstarter to get funding. As an appreciation to those backers, anyone who backed the game will receive Hollow Knight: Silksong for free. That’s a pretty good way to say thank you. On top of that, those who pledged funds at the $10 tier and up will have the option to receive the sequel for either PC or the Nintendo Switch on launch. Just keep an eye out for an email asking which version you’d like to receive.
As for other versions of the game, they could possibly happen. A release date for Hollow Knight: Silksong has not been announced.
Realism can be REALLY hard
With Rainbow Six Siege already deploying a free weekend, ARMA III is offering free play as well. Head on over to Steam to download the title and give it a shot at not charge.
Steam is also having a sale on Dark Souls titles so if you’ve been waiting to get the games and their DLC for cheap, your patience has been rewarded.
BFFs to the end
The Mortal Kombat 11 roster has another fighter and one that we’re pretty familiar with. Jade enters the fray with her nifty bo staff that can expand on command and even offers new teleportation powers. As you can see from her appearance, she still has the revenant form after the events of Mortal Kombat (2011) and MK X. Don’t forget to see her eye-popping fatality.
