February’s Games With Gold lineup is here, NetEase makes an investment in Quantic Dream and obtains a minority stake in the company, the Humble Indie PlayStation Bundle is here, and new releases for the week.

When taglines go rogue

We’re only a few days away from February so that means it is time for the Games With Gold lineup for next month. It’s a bit all over the place next month but seems to be a nice month overall.

Available throughout the month of February is Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. If you’re wanting an old-school Castlevania romp, this one should be for you. From February 16th through March 15th is Super Bomberman R. The Bomberman community may be cold on this title but its not Bomberman Zero.

As for the Xbox 360, Assassin’s Creed Rogue becomes free for Gold subscribers for the first half of the month. For the latter half of the month, the original Xbox title Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is yours for the taking. Perhaps more original Xbox titles are in store for the Games With Gold lineup.

But how small are we talking?

Quantic Dream is not going anywhere anytime soon thanks to an investment by Chinese internet company NetEase. This puts NetEase with a minority stake in the company with David Cage and Guillaume de Fondaumière continuing their roles as CEO and Co-CEO/Studio Director respectively.

David Cage shared in an interview with Variety that NetEase’s investment allows Quantic Dream to continue a “vision of becoming a global, multi-franchise entertainment company, and to develop advanced technologies and games for the future.”

NetEase made somewhat of a splash when they were announced as the partner for bringing Diablo Immortal to mobile devices. The exact amount of money invested has not been disclosed.

Would ya just look at it?
