IO Interactive opens a new studio, Firewall Zero Hour hosts a free weekend for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and a date for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2’s private beta is revealed.

Expanding the horizons

IO Interactive just got a little bit bigger with the announcement of a new studio in Malmö, Sweden. By opening up the new studio, IO will have more support on delivering more content for Hitman and working on new franchises. This could provide the company with a little more consistency as work on a new title could begin at one studio while ongoing support for Hitman 2 cranks out at the other.

IO I Malmö is already open and operational at the time of this writing.

Sony has announced a surprise free weekend trial demo for Firewall Zero Hour. From January 18th through the 20th, anyone with a PlayStation Plus subscription can access the PS VR title.

A private beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 begins on February 7th and runs through February 10th on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Access to this private beta can be had by pre-ordering the title or by going to thedivisiongame.com/beta and signing up. Registering for the beta does not guarantee access as players will be granted access as space allows. Although it wouldn’t be surprising to see an open beta near the end of February.
