The Oculus Rift drops to $399, the latest Humble Bundle features RPGs, the Oculus Go is announced, more games coming to EA Access and Origin Access, and four new Xbox One S bundles announced.

Now the jump to VR looks a lot more affordable

After already taking a price drop earlier this year, the Oculus Rift is getting another price slash.  This drop puts the price at a pretty reasonable $399 and that includes the headset itself, two sensors, and two Oculus Touch controllers.

If that was not enticing enough Oculus has also announced the Oculus Go, a standalone VR headset that does not require a PC to run.  The headset will start at $199 and comes with a controller that looks similar to the Gear VR controller.  Of note, Gear VR is running off of Oculus architecture.  The Oculus Go is set to release in early 2018 with details about the device set to be revealed in the near future.

Keeping the lineup fresh

EA is bolstering the EA Access and Origin Access services with more free games and game trials.  Star Wars Battlefront II and Need for Speed Payback are coming to both services with Play First trials that give you a taste of these titles before their official launch.  As far as full games go, Mass Effect Andromeda is coming to both EA Access and Origin Access.

For EA Access only, a Play Trial of The Sims 4 is expected to launch shortly before launch.  Finally, Dead Space 3 will join the EA Access lineup before the end of the year.

A little something for everyone

In the mood for some role-playing?

If you're in the mood for some RPG titles and looking to save a little money, you're in luck as two different sites have deals on several RPG titles.  GOG has sales on several classic PC RPGs such as Torchlight 1 and II, Sacred, and Titan Quest.  Meanwhile, the latest Humble Bundle is centered around RPGs and contains some notable titles such as the Borderlands series, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, and Guild of Dungeoneering.
