A few new features coming to SMITE including Japanese gods, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 beta coming next week, Psychonauts 2 gets funded, and PC specs for Far Cry: Primal.

By the gods!

SMITE fans, your wishes have finally been answered.  Season three of the popular MOBA is adding the Japanese Pantheon with the goddess of the sun, Amaterasu, being the first Japanese god added.  She will be made available next week on January 12th, kicking off a new multi-week event titled the Rising Dawn.  This includes Japanese-themed skins for several gods.  Other changes coming to season three include changes to the in-game shop, user interface updates, and the introduction of daily quests.  Also being added to the game is a 3v3 Joust League, and the addition of another Joust map.  The new Joust map is a Chinese-themed area, which is based on the sky palace of the Sun Wukong legend.  Overall, SMITE does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
