News Roundup September 3rd

by Huey Chewwy in News

Come this November, you will be able to experience the ENTIRE lineup of Borderlands games on Xbox One.  The news came out today that the original Borderlands and all of its DLC will be playable on the backwards compatibility service when it launches this November.  Your saves and achievements will carry over as well.  While not the "HD" treatment that the sequel got, getting the original Borderlands on Xbox One in some capacity is still a nice bonus.

Remember how we said yesterday that Ed Boon might be teasing more characters for Mortal Kombat X?  The good news, we were right!  The bad news, we still have no idea who they are.  Warner Bros confirmed that four new fighters, new skins, and a new environment will be available in the first half of 2016. Hopefully more details will come soon other than the "hey we're making more DLC." announcement.

Harmonix is taking its next project to the video-game centric crowdfunding site Fig.  What this game is exactly is still under wraps, other than the project will be up on the site later this year.

Wildstar has set its date for the previously announced free-to-play business model.  September 29th is when the free-to-play (and huge substantial update) will launch.  The character creation and tutorial have been given a big change to improve  accessibility.  Why not give it a shot when it releases?
