Originally scheduled for release later this year, Uncharted 4 is being delayed to Spring of 2016. In a post on the Playstation Blog, directors of Uncharted 4 Bruce Straley & Neil Druckmann have this to say.
"After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don’t take lightly — this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for. So we’ve made the difficult choice of pushing the game’s release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards, but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title."
This undoubtedly is not great news for Sony, as Uncharted 4 was sure to be their big title for the fall/winter. If there is a silver lining to this story, it could be the fact that the delay is announced now in March, rather than a month away from release.
If there was a reason to get back into Titanfall, then EA just gave you one. Celebrating the one year anniversary of the game's release, the developer has made all the season pass DLC free! Season pass content just doesn't get released for free very often, and this deal might draw some new players into Titanfall. The season pass content apples to all versions of the game; Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. The PC version is currently on Amazon for $19.99 as a download code. No word on when this deal will end so be sure to grab the free content while it lasts!
Sony fans are sure not getting a lot of good news today. A forum post announces that Playstation Mobile will stop distributing content on July 15th, and in-app purchases or re-downloading of apps will cease on September 10th of this year. The Playstation Mobile app for Android devices will also not be available for download after September 10th. You will still be able to access content purchased from Playstation Mobile, you will just need to activate your device. Steps on how to do that and more info on the closing of Playstation Mobile can be seen here.
In games, playing as an elephant can be pretty cool. But how about playing as a BADASS elephant? Game Freak has your answer with their upcoming 2D action side-scroller Tembo The Badass Elephant. If the developer sounds familiar, they should. Game Freak has previously worked on many of the Pokemon titles starting from the very first titles on the original Game Boy. Players take control of Tembo, who must stop the evil enemy force known as the Phantom from destroying Shell City. If the name alone does not get you excited, then check out the trailer above to see the game in action. Tembo The Badass Elephant is coming this summer to Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC (via Steam) as a digital download with SEGA as the publisher.
