Sony Online Entertinment, or more known as SOE, has been sold today to investment management firm Columbus Nova. SOE will now be rebranded as Daybreak Game Company and "operate as an independent game development studio ". The most notable part is the shift to being a multi-platform studio. Yes, they now have an open portfolio of past and future games that could come to Xbox and mobile, as well as continuing Playstation support.

MINECON 2015 has been announced today mojang.com. The convention will be in London, UK at the ExCeL London Exhibition and Conference Centre, on July 4th & 5th, 2015. No time or clear information was provided for when tickets go on sale, other than "Ticket sales will happen in February, exact date and time will be announced in the next two weeks." You can get tickets from minecon.mojang.com when they go on sale, as well as access to discounted hotel prices when you purchase. Tickets will be released in two separate batches on the same day at different times, with only 5,000 tickets per batch.
