Yesterday we reported that EA SPORTS UFC 2 is official, with the developer revealing more details today. Instead of full blown details of new features, screenshots, and more, we got something disappointingly different. Titled a 'vision' trailer, the narrator goes on about how there will be plenty of new animations, ways to help players fight better, and so on. Just disappointing on the end of what was expected, which most would have assumed a full reveal instead of this.
There are museums all over the country that preserve various objects; from art, history, sports, and many more. Even though it is a relatively young industry, video games are finally getting a permanent location for its already impressive museum. Expect to find all sorts of extremely rare items such as a Ralph Baer Limited Edition Odyssey 2 Pinball cartridge. The permanent home of the National Video Game Museum will be in Frisco, Texas and open this winter.
A while back, EA mentioned that the companion app coming to Star Wars Battlefront would contain its own standalone game within, and would not necessarily require you to play the main game to enjoy. Today EA has released that app which contains the card-based game Base Command. Players must survive sieges by the empire by defending a rebel base. Cards that feature Rebel Soldiers, X-Wings, and more are used to deal with the incoming forces. Slide a card over to the enemy unit to engage in battle, with the winner being determined by health, attack, defense, etc. Star Cards are powerful boost cards that can give one of you units an edge in battle. But beware, the empire has their own boosts in the form of perks. These range from making the unit invulnerable for the first round of damage, to unloading all attacks in the first round. As for progress in the PC and console versions of Star Wars Battlefront, Star Cards earned in the main game will be available in the companion app as well. The first eight of fifty sieges are available to play now when downloading the Star Wars Battlefront companion app. The 42 other sieges will be ready for play when the main game releases next week on November 17th

If you have played through Mission 45, you might notice your scantily clad buddy Quiet is gone. This certainly came as a bummer as there was practically no warning that this would happen. However, due to a patch today for all versions, there is a way to bring her back to use as a buddy. By simply playing Mission 11 'Cloaked in Silence' several times, the title along the mission should switch from REPLAY to REUNION. Once this happens, beat the mission one last time, and Quiet will be available as your buddy once again.
