Mortal Kombat X has been given a release date of April 14th, 2015. Also revealed is a pre-order bonus: the mighty Goro. No word if this is an exclusive pre-order only character or if it will be made available later. None the less a great bonus just for pre-ordering. Mortal Kombat X will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
Google is settling a complaint by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) by paying a minimum of 19 million dollars back to consumers for unauthorized transactions. The FTC has been accusing Google of violating the FTC's prohibition act since 2011 by not having any sort of authorization when purchasing in apps (by password, etc). While Google did add a password pop-up for purchasing, the complaint alleges that after entering the password for the account, a 30 minute window of unauthorized transactions was possible. Google is looking to change it's billing practices to ensure proper confirmation from the consumer before any purchases are processed.
Via Joystiq, anybody who buys a PS3 or Xbox 360 version of Destiny will be able to upgrade to their respective next gen consoles for free. Players must sign in to Xbox Live or Playstation Network by January 15, 2015. The added bonus is that both PSN and Xbox Live will retain liscenses for BOTH versions (PS4/PS3, Xbox One/360), meaning you can play either version if you choose to. Bungie previously reported that characters and progress could be transferred. With the holiday season coming up, this is a really sweet deal from Bungie.
