Xbox today announced the games to be available next month for it's Games with Gold program. Available all month for October, Xbox One owners can grab a brand new title; Chariot. Developed by Frima, this ID@Xbox game is a platformer in which the player guides a casket of a nearly departed King through 25 levels of physics-based gameplay. Chariot can be played either single player, or local co-op. From October 1st-15th, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be available for download for Xbox 360 owners. Running from the 16th to the end of October, Darksiders II will be ready for download, also for Xbox 360 owners. Anyone with an Xbox Live Gold membership will receive these games for free.
Also coming in 2015 will be Moon Hunters. Described as a mythology building action-RPG, Moon Hunters is set in "a fantastical ancient" Mesopotamia where players must solve the mystery behind the all powerful moon that has gone missing. Each play-through will be different with the world being randomly generated, with 1-4 players. Moon Hunters is being developed by Kitfox Games, and currently has a kickstarter still going for the game. With less than a day left, they are very close to their $170,000 of adding another playable class to the game. Moon Hunters will also be available for PC and Mac in 2015.
In a bit of sad news, today Bungie has issued a patch for Destiny that has shut down the "treasure cave" In a patch note today, Bungie stated "The Hive of the holy “Treasure Cave” have realized the futility of their endless assault on Skywatch and have retired to lick their wounds and plan their next attack.." Notes also state that "shooting at a black hole for hours on end isn't our dream for how Destiny is played. Our hope is that social engagement in public spaces is only one part of the Destiny experience."
