The latest episode of Sunset TV, (available in-game of Sunset Overdrive of course) drops some news on more content to play with. Revealed by special guest Larry Hyrb, (Xbox's Major Nelson), The Mystery of the Moill Rig will be arriving as DLC on December 23rd. Taking place on an oil rig crawling with aquatic mutants and "disgruntled" workers, there will be plenty of space to play with. With the oil rig being completely surrounded by water, two new water traversal moves have been added; water dive and water slam bounce. Water dive, as the name implies, allows you to dive under water and traverse for a few seconds before jumping up out of the water. Water slam bounce allows you to melee smash into the water before shooting high into the air. These moves will also transfer over to the main game as well, so they are not only exclusive to this one area. The Mystery of the Moill Rig will be available for $9.99 alone, but is free to season pass owners. A link to the Sunset TV page with a video on the new content can be seen here.
Square Enix will NOT be publishing The Rise of the Tomb Raider. Who might be publishing this anticipated sequel then? None other than Microsoft. The news was revealed in a tweet by Xbox Marketing Chief Aaron Greenberg who was responding to a fan question on Twitter. This is not the first time Microsoft has published a game from another company (Dead Rising 3/Capcom as an example.) Its curious though that this news comes just a few days after Sony revealed Street Fighter V as a console exclusive.
Best Buy has a sale on Nintendo 3DS XLs this week with the handheld systems getting $50 off. If you are thinking of grabbing one as a gift, (or yourself, we won't judge) this is a great time to do so. A link to order online can be found here.
Coming next week in the next batch of DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be a free mission for everyone which sheds some light on events from Telltale's Tales From The Borderlands. If you have played Tales From The Borderlands, there is a certain character that shows up apparently as an A.I. developed by Dr. Nakayama. Once you download the update that contains this mission, head to the Hyperion Hall of Heroism and talk to Dr. Nakayama to begin this mission. Its cool to see the Pre-Sequel and Tales From The Borderlands interact in this way, let's hope there are more things like this to come.
Would you like to pay 99 cents for a special execution? If you own The Last of Us you can do so. You can purchase nine different executions for 99 cents a piece, available on both PS3 and PS4. Be aware there are a few that cannot be purchased on the PS3, due to memory constraints in the hardware. Along with the executions, other bundles that include items, survival skills, and weapons will be available for purchase as well.
