At long last, heists have finally been revealed for GTA Online. While there is still no set date, we finally have details and footage of the mode in place When asked why it took such a long time to put heists into the online mode, GTA Online producer and lead mission designer Imran Sarwar stated "it turned out to be a lot more difficult than we thought." Part of the difficulty was finding the right balance so everyone felt important during the mission. Stating that it was easy in the single player story as you could switch the perspective to another player, it is a challenge to make four individual players feel active and important. There will be five strands of heists, totaling in 20 missions all together, giving about another 20 hours of gameplay. Players will only have to be above rank 12, but will need a high end apartment. Heists will be making their way into GTA Online in 2015, hopefully the wait will be well worth it.
Get your sniping skills ready as CI Games announced they are developing Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3. The player will be thrust into a war between three warring factions set in the modern day of a conflicted Eastern Europe. Lots of non-linear sandbox style fun will be had in the game's large open-ended maps, providing some replay value. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 still has a ways to go, as it will be releasing in the first half of 2016 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
The DLC seems to have no end when it comes to PayDay 2. Available now in Steam is the Diamond Heist and Clover Character Pack. The heist DLC will have players trying to steal the most famous diamond in the world from a museum. You will also be able to pre-plan the heist, to ensure that perfect heist. Also included in the Diamond Heist will be four new masks, materials, and patterns. The Clover Character Pack adds the first female character to the PayDay crew; Clover. Her own personal weapon, a shillelagh, and her own mask come with Clover as well. Introduced is Burglar, a new perk deck focused on breaking and entering. The Diamond Heist will cost $6.99, while the Clover Character Pack will run $4.99. PayDay 2: Game of the Year bundle will be available on December 18th on the Steam store.
Not all news is good, as Jagex and Hasbro announced today that Transformers Universe will be shutting down in early January of next year. Its hard to tell if the game just wasn't shaping up, or if this is a financial decision. With Jagex and Hasbro realigning their plans and focus for 2015, the latter seems feasible. Transformers Universe only made it to closed beta, not having a full open beta for everyone. Don't fret if you purchased any packs during the closed beta, as those will be refunded.
