Get ready for some new, and free content for The Sims 4. EA has announced today their plans for new content that will be coming in the next couple of months. Starting with the month (available now actually) of the October update, which introduces ghosts to The Sims 4. Ghosts will be able to rejoin the world, maintaining the attributes they had while living as a Sim, but will also have special new behaviors based on their death. Ghosts can be invited into households to be used as playable characters, and it is hinted that the ghosts can be brought back to life. Also included is the Star Wars costume set, giving players the ability to dress up as Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. Coming in November will be the addition of pools, something that has been heavily requested since the news of their removal from the game at launch. The update for December is shortly described as Put-Your-Sims-To-Work month, which will introduce new career paths and rewards. Given that such things are usually in an expansion pack that has to be purchased, it's rewarding to see that significant updates are added free of charge. While paid expansion packs are likely in the works, let's hope to see small free updates in the future.
